Does anyone have a picture with both of them on it side on side comparisson?

I want a smaller handgun than my GLOCK 19 something very descreet. i can carry my 19 almost everywhere but sometimes just wish for somethings mall since i do wear very thin clothing in this very warm humid environment. I live in the caribbean by the way.

Thanks

The G26 is as good as it gets in a subcomapct auto and outclasses the snubby revolver in firepower. It has more effective barrel length and twice + the capacity and is easy to control rapid fire.

If you can comfortably conceal it in light clothing, go for the Glock...

I can't.

The snubby has the reliability of the Glock (at least), has similar power in .38sp +P ammo and can be MUCH lighter in weight. It also has a more organic shape that lends itself well to pocket carry.

The Glock 26 is a little easier to carry than the G19, but the Snubby is LOT's easier to carry than either, IMO.

If you're willing to invest the time and practice, the snubby is a great defensive weapon for it's size, but if you can work with the Glock 26, it offers more.

The G26 is a fine CCW piece. I am more accurate with it than any other handgun, even larger 9mm Glocks. I can conceal it better than any other handgun, too. Except one...the J-frame.

I feel comfortable tucking the snubbie in my waistband sans leather in a pinch, not so with any auto I've owned. A simple cover garment (tropical shirt, for instance) will cover the snubbie where a G26 would have been revealed easily. It pockets easier than the G26, too, for another possible mode of carry.

Personally, I would recommend the J-frame first since you have a 19. I often backup my 19 with the .38, whereas the 26 and 19 seem a bit much together for CCW (especially in warm weather). You lose the universal ammo feeding, but gain easy pocket carry and better overall carryability. The 26 isn't different enough from the 19 to make a drastic difference, so between the J and the 26, I'd choose the J first. Later on, you can always add a 26 if you want when circumstances and finances allow.

Thank you guys. Your well informed responses pretty much sum it up for me. I would still like to see a side to side picture.

My buddy has my camera, but I should have it back this weekend. If no one posts a pic by then, I'll get you a G19 (standard frame of reference since you have one), G26, and a J-frame all together.

Thank you guys. They seem to be about the same size but I guess the GLOCK'S fattness is what makes it hard to pocket carry.

They are similar in overall height and length, but the 637/638 is a lot lighter and thinner. Also, that PF9 in the pics is a lot lighter than both of them, and smaller. You have to handle it to notice the difference.

It is deceiving. The length and height are about the same. As mentioned, it is MUCH lighter loaded than a loaded 26. The J is at its widest only in the center of the cylinder and in the grip. The 26 is at its widest...well...everywhere. The barrel circumference of the J is tiny compared to the slide and frame of the 26, same with grip circumferences. They might fit in the same size rectangle drawn on the table, but there's a huge difference.

The natural curves of the snub break up better in a pocket or under a thin shirt than the harsh angles of the Glock, too. As hvnit2gd said, it's hard to really see the difference until you have both in your hand together, but then the difference is clear.

I agree.....If I could pocket carry the Glock I would. I can't get away with it. IMO I have the next best choice. 340pd. This is a great pocket gun!
