I was looking at the 617, 817, and 856 on line and was wondering if they shoot well. I'm looking for a medicine cabinet/glove compartment pistol.

And I was hoping the 856 would be a good replacement for my Colt Det, that needs a good overhaul and refinished (secret project in the works).

I have the 617 DAO. It has a smooth Trigger, is accurate for a DAO Gun, and carrys well IWB. It is one of my favorite Carry Revolvers. I didn't like the stock grips so I put the Hogue Grip on.

I like the TRACKER series from Taurus. And I have hunted with the 41mag, its everything and then some. I've wanted a TRACKER in 45ACP, but never got off my butt to get one. Too many weapons, so little money.

My buddie has a Ruger snub in 480 Ruger. Not a bad shooting round, but a little overkill for the glove compartment. :)

Can anyone show a pic of the 6 or 7 shooters next to a K frame or J frame size weapon?

Well, I bit the bullet and put money down on a new 817UL. I liked the trigger pull and it is a light weapon. I got it for $325 OTD, so I down think I got hurt.
