Has anyone preformed a trigger job on a Browning Hi Power?
I have a brushed crome mk3, i removed the mag safety.
the trigger has improved but the reset is alittle "sluggish".

is there anyway to decrease the trigger pull weight and improve the reset?
it needs to be a do it yourself.
thanks.

I am sure Novak is an artist, his work speaks for itself.
But i like to get my hands dirty.

Yes, on a couple guns, the mag disconnect is the easiest. Complete disassembly is the hardest part of the rest. get Stephen A Camps dissasembly guide if you haven't done it before.

a cylinder and slide wide trigger helps take out a lot of the take up.........and feels great!

Remove the mag safety and you will have a totally different and better trigger.

Just get C&S internals.

I had my 'smith do it. He's a fan of the BHP. It turned out better than I'd hoped. No grit in the slight takeup and a 4.5 lb break. Didn't notice any difference in the reset but overall it was well worth the $25 he charged me.

Just get C&S internals.

I just completed my first BHP trigger job,
I installed a C&S wide trigger and The C&S spring kit.
I also polished the sear.

The result is a nice trigger pull, around 4 pds,
some take up and a tiny bit of creep.
It feels like a 1911 pull.:supergrin::supergrin::supergrin:

The trigger job was pretty easy, the most difficult part was removing the main spring , and extra set of hands would really help.
Just thought I share.

There's nothing (that I know) to improve the reset distance on a BHP than to submit it to the dark ($$expensive$$) magic of the Yost/Bonaire wizards. Everything else can be done (with care) at home.
