No. You need more magazines.
Having 2-30 round mags and 500 loose rounds would be worth less than 5 LOADED mags and 120 spare rounds if the 28 week scenario popped up.
Overall...a decent movie. Brutal yes. Bloody yes. But a lot of it made zero sense at points. It was like the writers were RUSHED at the end to wrap up the story.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Skip the rest of this reply to avoid SSSSSPPPPPOOOOOIIIIILLLLLEEEERRRRSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When was the last time you saw a crap sedan out class an Apache attack Helo?
And NOTHING says "these two kids are important" like muzzle sweeping them with a rifle while using the NV sight while stumbling down a subway stairwell.
But the last scene was Uber creepy/awesome for my .02

**SPOILER**
I liked the fact that the American in charge who insisted on blowing everything away that moved turned out to be right at the end of the movie.

Yep, that cracked me up. The people who tried to do the "right" thing ended up screwing over everybody. They should have listened to that commander.
Anyway, I thought it was WAY better than the first. 28 Days Later was a Lifetime movie for the last half. 28 Weeks was fun all the way through.
I guess I'll be one of the first on the thread to say I hated this movie.
Since I didn't like it, I've only seen it once, when it was released, so I've forgotten some of the more specific reasons why I hated it.
But basically, I didn't like how every single character seemed to be a complete idiot.
The military was portrayed as especially idiotic for giving that idiot civilian dad a card which opens EVERY door. They were then idiots again for not posting ANY guards to prevent him getting to the infected woman who they brought INTO the city. Then there was no prevention in the way of security or surveillence to prevent the then infected dad running off infecting everyone else. Then they put ALL the civilians into a single area left unsecured allowing the zombie dad to come in and infect the whole lot of them. Instead of simply telling them to remain in their homes.
Then after they've done making all those mistakes, they decide the correct solution at this point is to simply kill everybody. Especially the people who aren't yet infected, for some reason.
Then there was the zombie dad who kept showing up again and again. And the whole pointing the rifle AT THE KIDS FACE for 10 minutes near the end.
It just seemed too contrived, when I watched it all the characters seemed to have been made stupid simply to advance the plot, what little of it there was.
Damn, that was a longer rant post than I intended, oh well.

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually enjoyed the movie. Yeah there were a lot of stupid mistakes i it from the beginning. I'm not even sure how the outbreak started because the guards outside of that room should have killed anyone that came out of it acting like that obviously! Either way how fast the infection started was insane like the first. I think they did a good job showing that we can control a lot of things and curve things, but it takes a lot of time and we are still very limited.
I hope they make a 3rd. After watching the first 28 days later the beginning of this 2nd movie was very eerie. It's hard to imagine what the people must have felt like going back in there.
Then learning that some of the people were now carriers and everything they did to check everyone on with their eyes ended up being a failure. Wow.

I just watched this on cable.
It was a horrible piece of crap.
carry on.

Not when the music kicked in and the guy grew a pair and went and gouged the other guy's eyes.

If they didn't make all those mistakes, the infection wouldn't have spread again and there wouldn't have been a movie.

Question/Spoiler
I was playing on the computer so I might have missed something:
With the suvivors running all over the city just ahead of the barely avoiding snipers, fire bombing, flame thrower equiped soldiers and a myriad of other obstacles, THEN get in a car and run from a helicopter ..........HOW IN THE HECK did the zombie dad end up in the subway with them?????????????
