Hi all. I've got a new AK and I'm planning on adding an Ultimak gas tube upper rail, in order to use some optics. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the Trijicon Reflex series of optics. I like the idea of never having to use batteries or flip any switches in order to operate the unit.
Has anyone had any problems with this setup? Is the reflex heat reat resistant enough for the gas tube? How is it to shoot?
Any knowledge would be much appreciated, as always.
PS, please no Aimpoint reviews, I own two already. I already know how awesome they are..

I have a Trijicon Reflex mounted on a Sig 556 and I like it a lot. It's one real downfall is that in really bright light, it becomes difficult to see. If you're putting it on an AK, I would suggest the chevron version. I'm not sure how it will stand up to the heat though. My guess, however, would be it would be fine.

Thanks for the reply.. One more question if you will, the lense looks kinda small in the pics. Is the eye relief big enough for close range shooting?
