Well nobody seems to make .44 spl snubbies anymore (except maybe Charter)
so is the Ruger Alaskan the way to go in .44 mag , shooting .44 spl rounds as a CCW piece.
I know its a belt gun - I can't imagine being able to fit it into my pockets, no matter how large. :supergrin:
But is it really that much bulky/heavier than say a 4" bbl 686+ which I frequently carry, even in shorts and t-shirt weather?
I'm sure there's better CCW options out there. Heck, my G19 or 1911 MIGHT be easier to carry but would need to hear from an Alaskan owner to know.
I suspect 5 rds of .44 spl probably beat 5 rounds of .38 spl and we all know how popular the .38 is for CCW
