If you can get a glock 18 or a conversion legally, will you? Is the full auto really useful?

No.

If the NFA were repealed tomorrow, a Glock 18 would be pretty low on my shopping list.

There are at least a half dozen full auto's on my list above it and quite a few semi's and revolvers.

If I could, I would consider a post-86 dealer sample conversion unit. However, I'd have to be a C2 or C3 for that to go through.

I would NOT pay the $24,000.00+ for a legal fully transferable Glock. There are other NFA items I'd rather have for that amount. You could get two Steyr AUG's, four M-16's, six or seven Ruger AC-556's, twenty Mac style weapons, one M-60, two BAR's, or half an original Bren for $24,000.00+.

If there were any G18 pre-'86 DS out there, I would consider them on the basis of price.

Is full auto really useful? That depends on what you define "useful." If it's for impressing folks at the range, sure! If it's for room clearing, it's great! If it's for accuracy or for normal shooting, it's useless.

Glock would be better off with a two or three round burst option if they're considering Police use.

Personally, if not for all the damned idiotic laws I'd love a 2 or 3 round "burst" option for my G-26 or a G-19.

I'd like to see a 3 round burst Glock as well. If for no other reason, it would be interesting to see how they would design the burst mechanism to fit in the slide.

I've seen a 3 round burst conversion. Never got around to shooting it or asking how the mech worked. It was homemade and almost certainly illegal.

I think there are some vague plans online somewhere, but it's been awhile.
