Ran 200 rounds of Fiocchi 40SW JHP 165 grain through my G27 today. After about 30 loads, I realized how hot this load was. Accuracy was not great either. But my dilemma was the 15% failure to RTB. I've not had similar problems previously through 200-250 rounds. Today, my 15 rounds of TMJ went downrange accurately & with less blast & kick.

I bought 1000 rds of the Fiocchi for a good price on this hoping to use it as PD, but I can shoot it as practice ammo if need be. My regular PD load has been Cor-Bon 135 gr. JHP

Was my Fiocchi load too hot?

What load would you recommend for PD, in addition to the Cor-Bon? I'd like to shoot at least 200 rounds downrange without having to skip a mortgage payment, and the Cor-Bon is too expensive to practice with.

I have tried all the different weights in my Glock 22. The two I like the best are the 155 grain XTP factory load and just about any name brand 180 grain JHP.

Sounds like you might need a new recoil spring. If Wolff makes a set up for the 27, I'd replace it with one of those.

I doubt if it's the spring. These 200 rounds were of 300 or 400 total rounds through. But Fiocchi cases might be a tad long I've heard, and that might cause the problem. The other 100 of WWB that I shot that day went through just fine.

I like Fiocchi it is hot round and I have shot a lot of it, but never had any malfunctions thru my G-23. I know Winchester white box is dirty and people are having problems with that. Hope you figure out the problem.
