Hey Buckeyes,

There is an Appleseed Shoot in Lexington, INDIANA, that is just a stones toss from Cincinnati, on April 19-20. http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=1907.0

This is a great, family friendly, rifle marksmanship/heritage event.

You will receive some quality rifle instruction and be reintroduced to some of the great men and women that were present and active at the birth of this nation.

This Appleseed is one of 13, nation wide, on April 19-20 to commemorate the "shot heard around the world" on April 19th, 1775!

Free camping at this site, and it looks to be a great location for some good family fun and learning.

Let me know if you have any questions about the Appleseed Shoots or this location.

Kids under 21 and all Military shoot FREE!.

See ya there

You should post how much for the non-military over 21.

Standard, pre-registration fees $70 for the weekend course, or $45 for one day.

Walk up rate (no pre-registration) $80 for the weekend course, or $50 for one day.

Really, this is a two day course, however, if you can only make one day, that is better than none. Saturday is the day with the most detailed instruction, Sunday is a more reinforcement of what was taught on Sat, and some advanced material.

thanks

Some very good primer information above, but don't let it bog you down.

The keys, be sure to have a sling, the USGI web sling is the best for the $$, so you will need 1 1/4 inch swivels http://www.ray-vin.com/tech/websling/webslinghelp.htm

Be sure you have a learning attitude, as there will be a good bit of information shared.

Look forward to seeing you there:wavey:
