I was visiting family over the weekend and we decided to go look around Traders World in Monroe, Ohio (Between Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio
Exit 29 on East Side of I-75 ~ Take Exit 29). When we paid our $2/car admission I noticed a small sign in the window saying CCW was not permitted.
Does Ohio have such a posting law?

yeah. you have to listen to the signs from what i hear. but i would guess it would be hard to tell if you were or not. if asked to leave i would though

I used to go there a couple times a month. I never go there anymore! Haven't been to a Frisch's either since CCW came to Ohio. Any business wearing a no gun sign never gets my money.

Yes, they are indeed posted at the gates where you enter with your vehicle.
To my knowledge, they always have been since Ohio became a CC state.

You hear correct. The signs are legal and businesses can post them.
You may want to think again about carrying anyway. It could result in more than just being asked to leave.

That's my feeling also. I have refused to do business in a number of places that have posted. The Frisch's near me isn't posted, nor are most of them in my area.
I have been there a few times and never noticed the signs.

Frisch's took their signs down chainwide as far as I know, over three years ago, if that makes any difference to you.

Thats great to hear, but I don't eat fast food out much, and when I do it's usually Skyline!

Alwaysshootin, just fyi; There are a select few Skylines that sell beer/wine coolers, those would be no-go when toting a pistola.
And going back to the early days of licensed concealed carry in Ohio, Krogers used to post "gunbuster" signs too, but after several thousand angry e-mails crashed their computer system--first and only time that ever happened to them--they saw the light and removed the signage.

Copy that on the liquor sales, but I swear, the somewhere around 15 different Skylines I've been in, I've never seen one that sells alcohol! Now Gold Star is another story.
Talk about coincidence, just got off the phone with Raliegh, the owner of the fine knife shop at Traders World. He is also invested in the knife shop in Newport, Ky. called Clark Cecil, inquiring about a Benchmade I saw at the gunshow that caught my eye. He asked why he hadn't seen me at TW lately, and so I replied, I don't go there anymore because of the signs posted, and that I don't patronize places that do! He went on to say, that management didn't really check or anything. I simply stated that was beside the point.
As far as Kroger, I am fully aware of them putting up the signs the day the CC law went into effect. The Mullberry store that I shop, while pushing a cart with 200 dollars worth of groceries proceeded to push up to the store manager, and said sir, with al do respect, this will be my last time in your store, ad will be shopping at Walmart from now on, until that sign is removed from the front door! The sign was removed by weeks end!

Ohio law refers to a license holder KNOWINGLY carrying in a no-carry non-enumerated zone.
I've never knowingly seen such a place.
I went to traders world today and sure enough right at the booth where you pay to get in there it was , the no ccw sign , so had to leave my g26 locked up in the glove box. I never looked on the door where you actually enter the building for a no ccw sign because if the only signs they have up is on the booth where you pay to get in and not on the door of the actual building itself then technically the only place you cannot ccw is in the booth where you pay , right? because if they dont have the no ccw sign on the doors where you enter the building then you should be able to ccw in there , right? I'll make sure I dont ccw in the booth where they take my money to get in. Sorry just being sarcastic. It amazes me cause they sale chinese throwing stars , swords , machette's (spelling?), axes , any kind of knife you can think of , paint ball guns , air soft guns , tasers , hammers , and several other things you could kill someone with but they dont want the law abiding ccw holder to bring in their pistol , absolutely amazing.

P3, please do not try to apply logical thinking with regards these CPZs. (Criminal Protection Zones.) Some businesses put up the signs because their insurance provider demands it. That btw is why I sometimes refer to insurance companies as legalized protection rackets.
CPZ is about all that some of them places are. Like you said , partly thanks to insurance companies.
