I dont think it's significant. I think surrounding terrain has a much larger effect.

Don't be so sure. The speed of sound drops with the temperature, so if you have a load that's borderline subsonic on a hot day, it will likely be over the sound barrier when it gets cold.

I wasn't sure, I said I think.
Since I've fired thousands of rounds in cold, hot, wet, dry temps, and never noticed any differences between them, I merely posted my opinion on the question.
I have however notice a big difference in areas with different terrain where the noise can echo off rocks, or absorbed by soft trees, grass, and bushes.
