But they call it, 'PISTOL AUTO 9 mm 1A'.

Has anyone here had any experience with them? I've found a 'used' one that looks like new, still has the oil on the outside of the magazine.

Can it be half bad for $250?

No experience.
I hear they are good guns though, made in the RFI (Royal factory Ishapore) India, like the last Enfields. They are based on the fixed sight Inglis.

Berto, except that they call it Indian Ordnance Factories now, your info was right on!

I did pick it up for $250+tax, and I think it was a bargain.

I called the importer, PW Arms, they said they imported 500 of them a few years back and none were returned to them under warranty.

The gun appears to be new...unfired, it even has 'factory' oil on the outside of the magazine that's in it. I say it's 'factory' because it has a whole different smell to it than most oils here have.

The sights are a little strange, but they seem to work, don't know if the fixed sights on the Inglis guns were the same or not. The trigger isn't half bad compared to most military High Power triggers I've felt! It even came complete with an extra mag and it's own Indian made 'Glock' box!

Nope, haven't fired it yet.

Here it is:

Buy it. You could always sell it and get some of your $$ back.

Interesting. A bit rough looking, like most Indian weapons from the last few decades, but probably quite functional.

Nice range shooter, I don't think i'd carry it. :)
