I figure since it is a bit heavier than the standard (for me anyhow) snubby, I would go for a dual point attachment holster (Double Clip). I did email him to make sure the mouth stays open for re-holstering, and if not, see if I could have it reinforced.

I highly recommend Side Guard Holsters. I do not have the holster that you are considering but I do have a Rough Out pocket holster and a Quick Clip. Both of my holsters are for a S&W j-frame. Both of the holsters are very high quality and fit my 642 like a glove. Great service and great products.

The email reply back was that while the leather is not reinforced at the mout, the design will keep it open for short periods of time. Erik said he could add a layer of leather to reinforce it if I wanted....decisions, decisions.

I really like the clipdraw for normal everyday use, but want something more substantial when I am playing outside with the kids, hiking, etc... I think I will go with the single layer for the comfort factor, and since this wont be my "wear all the time holster".
