View Full Version : No Hi Power on Browning DVD 2008 Catalog triggerjerk 04-03-2008, 21:55 Kinda strange. I just got a 2008 Browning catalog on dvd. No BHP on it. Website shows it though. Weird. DJ Niner 04-06-2008, 23:28 After you mentioned it, I checked my copy that I had just picked-up from a local dealer. You're right, no HP listed/shown at all on the DVD. I also find that peculiar, especially if they are still featuring it on their website. Perhaps prepping for a model drop in mid-year? :dunno: I hope not, but it's the only thing I can think of that makes any sense at all. steel 04-14-2008, 09:55 They've been talking about dropping it for a few years now; maybe the time has finally come. If so, that's really unfortunate. rgregoryb 04-14-2008, 10:15 It is in the "paper catalog" 2008 DJ Niner 04-14-2008, 23:54 A good sign! Brian Dover 04-16-2008, 14:01 Ratcheting up rumors of the BHP's imminent demise, then trickling another batch to us a year or so later, seems to be sort of a regular thing with Browning/FN for the last decade or so. Since new ones are retailing at what, over $800 now, I only shop for them in the used, no-paperwork market. ddc 04-17-2008, 09:58 I agree, this is not the first time that it appeared that the BHP was going to go away... However in a world of plastic pistols I am wondering how much longer there will be enough interest to justify manufacture of the gun. I think it likely that day will come at some point. Maybe this is it. I had a "backup" BHP that I almost sold several years ago to fund another gun, exactly which one escapes me at the moment so obviously it wasn't all that big a deal, eh? I'm very happy that I held on to it! vBulletin® v3.7.3, Copyright ©2000-2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. | ![]() |
