Hey there,
Not sure if this is the place to post this question but here it is anyway. I've recently switched to shooting 147 gr bullets out of my 34 in IDPA and the brass is ejecting right into my face. Sometimes a little higher or lower but generally right at eye/ nose level. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the help.

change recoil spring. Try the 13#
What Ray said. Ejection angle is all about recoil springs.
Just curious, what would a lighter recoil spring do for the ejection?
increases slide speed. changes the recoil impulse, everything.

Ok 13# on the way from Brownells. Thanks.

It decreases the resistance so the slide can cycle with more force. The 147 gr. loads are producing less recoil than a lighter bullet load, so the OP is experiencing a slight limpwristing problem.
I hope you ordered an ISMI spring, or else have an aftermarket guide rod to install that spring from Brownells onto.
With an ISMI spring, you simply lock the slide open, pull the cap off the end of the rod with pliers, disassemble the gun and swap springs... Then lock the gun open, and pop the cap back into the end of the guide rod.

A little filing on the ejector will also help.
