I'm considering my second gun for IDPA. I have a G34 now and gocks seem to fit me well. I have gotten so used to shooting glocks, as of now, that is my natural pointing grip angle.
Being that said, I have been lusting after the new M&P 9mm.
So the question is, how easy is it to learn to go back and forth between grip angles? Speed is key for IDPA, so I'm worried I will be shooting low, or spending time looking for my front sight.
Anyone else idpa beween 2 grip angles.
I have also considered a CZ P01 instead of a M&P.

Personally I would just use the money to buy ammo and practice more. But with that being said I switch from the stock Glock angle to the 1911 grip angle in my open Glock or my real 1911 with no problem at all.
The Glock and the CZ are a easy transition. The CZ seems to be like the middle ground between a glock and a 1911. The CZ I think is the most ergonomic grip wise of all the pistols I've handled.
Anyone else idpa beween 2 grip angles.
Kind of :)

I've tried switching between a Glock and 1911 and I have a real hard time with it. The first time I switch from one to the other I have a hard time finding the front sight quickly. I decided I need to stick to one or the other.

I used to have trouble switching, now it takes a couple of shots. I switch from STI for open and limited to a single stack and occasionally a Beretta Storm. The trigger on the Beretta is the biggest change. The long pull on the first shot is different. I will shoot a Glock from time to time, but no real problems with it. Just feels a little different.
