Congratulations Steve ! ! ! It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Did you change rigs, or are you still shooting from IWB, using the Hackathorn rip? If so, that sweatens the victory.
Hope to see your new Masterness in September,

Congratulations, Steve!
The good news about making Master is that you never have to worry about sandbaggers again...

Yeah, but it kinda messes up Steve's sandbagging plans! :whistling:
So Koski finally comes out of the closet... Taran took 1st SSP Master, by choice, because he normally hangs out in ESP, but he got the word that Danny Burton was coming, so he switched back (to SSP). Koski, you and I, know that an IDPA Master is a sandbagging USPSA Grand Master...
No kidding aside, good run, sorry I couldn't make it. By the way, Arizona State IDPA sucked!

Details? I couldnt make it.
Hozer, RO's got to reshoot stages (and remained in the scoring), 2.5 hour delay on bay 1, variable RO calls for the same stage, AZ boys got the breaks, CA boys got broken. Example one stage had 4 cover positions with targets inbetween. AZ boys got to shoot on the move from cover to cover, we had to stay behind cover, probably good for 4-5 seconds on that stage alone. Had to come back on Sunday to finish 3 stages. Quite different from when it was at Ben Avery and Terry Allison ran the matches....(20 stages in one day on time with 4 at night).

Thanks folks. I had a great time. My first ever SO job at a sanctioned match too (whew, that was work!).
FYI, I shot .02 over SSP MA today at the classifier (ARGH!), but it was in gusting 30-50 MPH winds and we could barely keep the targets and barricades up, so I don't feel too bad.
It was good to see some "real" top notch shooters like Donnie Burton come and smoke the stage I was SO'ing. Makes me realize there's still a LOT of room for improvement.

IWB holster (www.threatsolutions.com) from concealment on every stage with major PF ammo. Can't seem to make myself shoot any other way.
Donnie Burton is very speedy, reminds you of Dave Sevigny. I noticed that Taran Butler put himself in SSP when he heard Donni was shooting in ESP... Taran hasn't shot SSP since he was shooting Glocks, maybe 10 years ago

Steve,
You are simply amazing. Quite a feat when you were competing against 125.01 ammo and belt holsters drawn from tent like vests. I salute you Sir ! ! !
