We will have our regular shoot, as usual. However, this month we will be offering a "Basics of the AR for the new or non shooter".
During the shoot for the regulars, Dave, from Adco Firearms, will be holding a clinic (assuming anyone shows for it) for folks that are very new to the AR or would like to see what it's all about. The clinic will be structured for the very beginner to ARs and folks such as wives, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, family members, friends, acquaintances, of AR shooters.
He should be able to work with as many as 10 to 15 folks, or as few as one. If you would like to bring a child, please make sure they are old enough to understand what's going on (his thoughts are at least 12 or 13 years old) and have a waiver, signed by parent or guardian.
Basics will include: Safe handling, operation, disassembly, reassembly, manipulation, sighting, firing the rifle, and some basic skills. Will try to run an easy scenario to put the basics into practice. Rifles will be available for use, if you (they) don't have one.
Donation will be set the same as the shoot, at $15.00 (donations go to the range, not us) and an ammo charge (if you (they) don't have your own) of $10.00 per magazine of 30 rounds (one mag minimum). All attendees must have eye and ear protection.
So please let anyone, that you think might be interested, know about the clinic, and we'll see how it goes. If you have any questions you can email him at Dave@adcofirearms.com. The shoot and clinic will be held at The Sandusky County Sportsmans Club (http://www.scsclub.org) in Gibsonburg, OH. Thank you.
Shoot and Clinic will start at Noon and run till around 4pm. Please, new folks to the BSCG Shoot, arrive by 11:30am for safety brief. Thank you.
