Age of my Eagle

Is there any way to tell the age of mine by the serial number? I know Glocks you can. I know its an IMF and I got it used back in the mid 90's paid 450 dollars for it from a guy I worked with getting a divorce.

I have never heard of a way to date the mfg of your DE w/o contacting Magnum Research.
For compareson, my weapon is a MK1 with a ser# of 323XX, and was made in 1989.

The $450 was a great price even back then. Guessing, it is a .357Mag. Mine is a .44. ----pruhdlr

Nope mine is a 44mag. I used to work with a guy who had the 357 ,41 and 44 mag eagles. He was a big time collector and I dont think he had shot any of them.

Mine is a 1986 .44 Mag. I'm pretty sure because 1) the guy who had it before me bought it brand new in 1986, and 2) the mag has a 1986 date stamped on it.
