Night Sights For Mk9 & K40

Looking For Night Sights For My Mk9 Elite And K40 Elite, I Like The Xs Big Dot By The Way They Look But Thats All I Know About Them, Any Help Please.

I put XS small dot on my j-frame revolver and I like it alot. The nightsights that come standard on the K9 Elite 2003 NS are fine. I tried ordering some from MMC but after a month's wait (and they'd already charged the credit card), I cancelled the transaction.

For a defensive gun none better than X/S Big Dot, particularly on MK9 pistol.

I agree - I have Meprolights on mine (next to my P-01 with Trijicons on it)

I love my Big Dot sights. Here is a comparison with factory (non tritium) sights.

I have factory meprolights on my pm9 and prefer them to the XS 24/7 big dot on my glock 26. It seems that the big dot is seen much quicker coming to target but that doesn't really affect how fast I get the first accurate shot off at least on 10 yard steel plate. I feel that consistent grip and presentation of the gun provides the fastest target-sight acquisition, not the sight itself. I have not fired either in low light conditions. At longer distances, I've only put 200 rounds with the XS big dots and feel that it will take a lot more for me to be proficient. I felt accurate and proficient with the meprolights immediately because it is nearly identical to the truglo tfo, or any other front post/rear notch sight I own.

FWIW, I only have the one gun with the XS big dots vs many others with standard front post- rear notched blade. Since I don't like the XS, I don't shoot that gun much which leads to not practicing with those sights and not becoming proficient with them and then not being able to recommend them. Well, you get the idea.

As far as meprolights vs truglo TFO, I don't really have a preference, except that I prefer them over XS Big Dot.
