Is it even out yet? That link looks like an artist's rendering. It does show promise, though...HH

I've been following the new VMax ever since the first concept was made public.
check out www.starvmax.com for the latest.

I am actually on the list of a couple of local dealerships should the new Vmax make it into production lol! the latest I heard was that it would be out later this year as a 2009 model. Then I go out riding with one of my buddies who is connected and he tells me it will be delayed yet again....

oh well, at least I have my modified Warrior to keep my company...

Nice Warrior. The Warrior is the only cruiser I would ever consider buying.

Well I can see the first thing that would have to go is the exhaust system.
Really, the VMax has such a great engine, I would hope for a fresh design that doesn't look so much like the original, made what 20+ years ago?

What's wrong with the exhaust?

I think it looks completely different from the 1985-07 models, IMO.

Here is another website with pictures that aren't annoying animated flash.

Cheesey, ya gets whatever makes your nipples stiff--it's your nickel. I think it'd be a fun bike. Even at age 60, it'd land me in jail in short order.

here is a contender in the styling dept, but alas the price will probably be much more than the new VMax....

The Honda EVO 6!!!

I like the new V-Max, if it ever gets made. I hope that it turns out better than the B King. I test rode it this weekend and it was a powerful bike. BUT the damn thing is simply ugly without a single shred of distinctiveness about it...except that it was FUGLY!!!

Very, very pricey for a Japanese bike...HH

for a 210 h.p. bike that's actually one of the more reasonable prices.....

The Honda Rune when it first cam out was stickered at $18.5k and went as high as $30k at some dealers....

That sexy Honda EVO6 that I just posted about above is said to be planned in "limited production" and to "expect high prices" much like the Rune of the times...

Current Italian and BMW's already go for that price and does not offer nearly the same performance....

That's it right there. Plus, this thing is just badass all around, and is proven workmanship and technology. 28 years in the making.

Although it looks pretty cool but if it handles ( or lack thereof ) anything like the original, for the $ I'd take an Aprilia Tuono R or an MV Agusta Brutale 910R. and they are both under $18,000 msrp But hey, what ever blows yer skirt up. That Yamaha will have plenty of all out power.

With the exception of the exhaust, I like the looks.

and about 4K more than I will pay for one. It looks awesome, and puts out "next level" exceleration stats, but with 1800cc it should! 16K-18K is a stretch IMO.

Current Italian and BMW's already go for that price and does not offer nearly the same performance.... But with Italian brands and BMW, you are not shouldering that enormous pricetag for the luxury of performance. That is the niche of the Japanese motorcycle MFG's. Superb performance, with "sound" ergonomics for a reasonable price.
