View Full Version : Oh my! Being offered a S&W PPC-9
Fellow cop, excellent condition, 25 mags, $1500.
Why in the blue blazes do I need a long slide 9mm S&W???
But's a nice looking gun, reported to shoot tight, etc., etc.
You dont need it. I do. Let me know if you decide you dont want it. Really.

I don't know what you will use it for, but it is a very accurate gun. Friend of mine who is a Master PPC shooter bought one after trying a 952. He said he preferred the single stack grip but the PPC-9 was more accurate.
25 magazines?
That would let him go through a 150 shot PPC match without having to reload mags. (Standard of 6 in the gun, from revolver days.)
I know. I spent some time researching the pistol and it's all thumbs up but I also just picked up a G24 for my Glock PPC needs. It's a good gun and the G35 I had been using was respectable in its own right (keeping me in the 520-550 category).
But a true dedicated PPC gun in a light caliber would be nice. I just have to justify spending that kind of money for a gun I'd use 1-2 times a month, maybe, and just for one type of gun game.

Strange, I have no trouble at all justifying guns I shoot (in formal competition) on about a quarterly basis.
Just been loading some .38-55s for BPCR to resume nearby after a couple year hiatus. That'll be a monthly deal if they get enough attendance to stay with it.

It would make a great gun for NRA Action Pistol!
It would also be good for shooting steel.

It'd make a good bullseye gun too.
