I think I need to change out the stock sights on my G19. This gun is my "general use" 9mm - I use it for range fun and starting to get into IDPA and would like to use this gun. Also some carry and possible home defense. Overall, I would describe primary gun use as range and IDPA for purposes of this discussion.
During recent range trips I have not been happy with accuracy and it seems to stem from the large front sight - especially for small-ish targets the sights completely cover the target area.
Now, first off - yes I am SURE the current gun / stock sights are capable of better shooting than I am and I agree I would probably be better served spending the money on additional training. My response is that I will spend the money on both... (saved a few folks from needing to reply).
My question for the collective wisdom around here is: I am thinking of going with the Dawson Fiber front / Heinie slant rear (this set http://www.shootersplus.com/inc/sdetail/1790). Any feedback? Good setup? Others ideas / suggestions?
Thanks all!
