View Full Version : RRA Customer Service, Nothing to Brag About

Anyone else ever have to deal with RRA customer service? I have talked to at least three different people trying to get the status on a upper ordered. We were told 4-8 weeks and here on week 9 they can't even give me a ball park estimate or bother to even actually pull up the order in the computer. I understand missed delivery dates, but at least try to pretend to be helpful by looking up my order and ensuring that its still on track in the near future.
This is surprising in the firearms industry as I have experienced outstanding customer service from just about everyone else I come in contact with.
Anyone else have any experiences with them directly?
Their delivery time sucks but the one time I had a problem they were all over it.
I've had good luck dealing with them when I was buying parts for my AR build. I did figure out that AR15sales.com is significantly faster though. With all that said, RRA is way behind on orders wight now because they are filling two government contracts (DHS and DEA).

And with the recent news that the government is trying to convert all our patron slobs in the third world to the AR "platform", I suspect that situation (AR builders swamped) will only get worse.
I have an RRA bullseye pistol. I contacted them several times regarding having another slide fitted. No problems with the pistol (an amazing machine it is), I just wanted another sight option.
Three times, I was told that one of the owners (Chuck, perhaps? don't remember now) would have to be the one to talk to on that.
I never did get to talk to anyone who would give me an answer, and ended up altering the pistol my damn self.
OTOH, an associate had a RRA M4gery with their match trigger that puked in the middle of a tactical rifle class. They handled that pronto.
You put up with what you will. My latest experience with HK service has been pretty dismal; but I like the pistols enough to swallow it.

Maybe they could have hired more help, heaven forbid anyone try to staff for increased demands?
Probably not enough trained help available.
Only 8 weeks, there are guys aver here waiting over 8 months for their order. Originally told 6-8 weeks. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=38&t=160347

Between Afghanistan, Iraq and general military ops the pressure on our AR infrastructure to provide replacement parts, custom mods for special ops and new rifles has put a strain on farts like us trying to build, modify and repair our rifles.
I have a Colt in for mods and got a call to explain the military had placed an order that has priority.
I can wait, they are getting shot at. I wish they could all come home.

I was almost set to order a RRA until I found out about the wait times. Decided on a Stag and had it less than a week. RRA makes a fine rifle but I did not want to wait for who knows how long to get it. I am perfectly happy with the Stag
they've been great for me. Gun came 3 weeks earlier than expected. The .308s are another story.
