red dot sights for a G34

I'm about ready to buy a Glock 34 to use in open class competition shooting.
I would like to get an electronic illuminated "DOT" sight and mount.

I see several on the forums and the internet but some look cheap or just dont seem built good enough.


I also would like a mount for the sight that would allow a fairly quick removal so i could also shoot the 34 in classes that dont allow those sights and re-install it in between shoots to shoot open class.

I would like to get some recommendations and pictures if possible.

Try the internal Lasermax guide rod, I've hear that they're tough and unless swapping out guide-rods is too much hassle, it should fit your requirements. You could always put tape over the lens. I'm not sure but I think that any other rail mounted laser would probably work.

I've got 2 G34 open guns. One has a milled in Docter done by Beven Gram. After Beven works on the DR the (7MOA) dot is very bright and is low in the slide. The other has a Burris Fast Fire (4MOA) sitting on a Burris mount. It's not a bright as the Dr but works OK. I use KKM barrels and their 4 port comps.

If you decide to go w/KKM you have to ask them for the 4 port comp and make sure your barrel chambered w/the NATO reamer. This is so you can long load your ammo.
