I was looking at ordering some magazines, but read some horror stories about Botach on arf.com. Just wondering if anyone from here has ordered from them.

They seem to take and confirm an order but little else. I ordered several magazines from them and got a confirmation of the order. That is all. I tried to order something from them some time ago and got the same treatment. I am still waiting for my magazines. If they charge my credit card, I will contact the Attorney General of that state and charge them with mail fraud.

After reading through some old threads, I'll definitely stay away from Botach. I'll check out ombexpress instead.

Run as fast as you can from Botach! :steamed: I made the mistake of ordering from them. I ordered 4 mags - 2 glock, 2 beretta. But they only shipped the 2 Glock mags. No email, no explanation, no nothing. I checked my credit card account and they only charged me for the 2 Glock mags, but they still charged me the shipping rate for all four.

I have ordered a lot from them mostly b/c of price. But I have started using others because of service issues.

Very mixed experience. Some orders arrive as planned. Some don't. There is never a packing slip (order bubble wrap / packing material) or any other communication if something is back ordered or out of stock you never know until it doesn't show up.

Customer service is spotty and the sales people are not very knowledgable

Same here... Just happened a couple days ago. I'd pay the extra to order from a reputable outfit next time (such as Natchez, CDNN, etc.)

I must agree about the bad service.
The order I placed with them for $15.00 G19 mags...
The price jumped to $19.95 AFTER I hit the confirm button.
Nothing I could do at that point.
And the G17 mags I ordered weren't sent, just as another poster said, the shipping price stayed the same. :steamed:

They didn't respond to my e-mail questions about this.

Their price on TLR lights is good, I will say that.
But I will do my on line ordering elsewhere from now on.

I've had excellent service from "cheaper than dirt".

I had the same bad experience as G-Frog. My order was "pending review" for a week after it was placed and I sent two emails asking what was up, with no reply. I then sent an email to cancel the order and they replied to that fairly quickly stating it was sorta canceled. My order was placed back when their mags were still being offered for 13.80, so I ordered four 17rd G17 mags. I believe that copping out of an order that someone places with you by ignoring them until they go away just because you don't feel like honoring your old price is hella shady in my book. I would definitely NOT recommend Botach.

I will never order from them again. I got cheated a over week ago and they are hard to get in touch with. They also never send an invoice with your order or tell you in something is in stock.:crying:

I have ordered from OMBExpress with ZERO problems, but they are cheaper on mags and shipping right now, so they win.

With OMB yet get what they promise, best prices on standard capacity mags and fast service. With Botach you're playing Russian Roulette. I ordered one time and had no problems but am not confident enough to give them more business (especially that their prices aren't that great). They have a bad rep on the internet which they didn't gain overnight nor will change overnight. OMB all the way.

ombexpress.com is definitely the place. I've ordered from them a number of times and the orders always shipped either the next day or, at least once, on the very same day. No problems whatsoever. The most recent order last week for 16 mags. Perfect service.

I had problems with them and complained in the e-mail they sent asking if I was satisfied with their service. Someone from Botach e-mailed me back shortly and apologized for the "lousy" (he actually said this) treatment they had given me. He promised to get my money refunded to me asap. I thought they had redeemed themselves but it still took about 2 months and several e-mail complaints from me before they refunded my money.
I guess they lost interest in redemption.

They were running a sale a month or so ago (I think it was 20% off all orders) and I couldn't resist ordering a StreamLight TLR-2. The price was just too tempting. The light was on backorder and Bohatch let me know that immediately. I think I had to wait about 2 weeks to take delivery.

For the money I saved, the wait was well worth it. I will do business with them again.

They screwed up my order, royally. Ordered glock 17 mags and shipping was high so I added some trinkets to fill the box--well, the mags didn't ship. They pulled the mags from my order and shipped the trinkets.

I'd steer clear.

I have had mixed results with them. If you do order make sure you call or email to confirm that they actually have the item in stock.

I ordered a 5.11 vest from them and after 3 or 4 days I emailed to see where it was. They told me they didn't have it and would cancel the order.

I got it a few days later. Weird.

Personally, I've only placed one order with this company. I bought a couple mags, Earmuff, mag pouch, light carrier, and a couple of other items. It took about 2 weeks for my order to come in. When I opened the box, both the mag pouch and light carry were incorrect items. Additionally, my earmuffs were on back order. It took me several tries before someone from Bosuck I mean Botachtactical answered the phone. :brickwall: After sending back the incorrectly shipped items and an additional week and a half wait, I finally got the correct items. About one week after I received the correct items, my earmuffs came in. Personally, I plan on NEVER USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!! :steamed:

What pissed me off most though is the fact that my items arrived via UPS in a Postal Service box that was cut and flipped. This was not a reuse. Nope, they are ripping off .gov to save on shipping materials.

Any business that is run that way is run by crooks as far as I'm concerned. I would rather put money in the pockets of people that care than save a few bucks on an order and give to those smucks.

Botach's incompetency isn't all bad.

About a year ago, I ordered ~$250 worth from Botach. They shipped all of it except one item and then told me the discount code was not accepted, raising the price on everything by 20%. I argued to no avail, then asked to speak to a manager. I was told a manager would call, but no one ever did call. A week or so later, someone emailed and asked if I still wanted the ~$30 unshipped item. I said, "Not without the discount." I reminded them I was waiting for a manager to call me.

It's a year later; no manager has called, the remaining item has never shipped and my CC has never been charged ~$220 for the items that did ship. I assume the paperwork is in limbo at the bottom of some managment clown's in box.

My other four or five Botach orders, before and since this incident, have gone well.

Wow, actually they did more work then they needed to on the boxes.

UPS will take USPS boxes, without you flipping them inside out and the USPS will take UPS boxes without you flipping those inside out.

The guys at UPS made the comment to me, we don't care if you use USPS boxes, your still paying us to ship it. The guys at the Post Office made the same comment, we don't care if you use UPS boxes, your still paying our USPS charges. I've actually commented to them that I use each of there boxes to ship with the other company so I don't have to pay for boxes and neither seem to care on a local level. The packages always make it from point A. to point B. without issue.

Our business does this all the time actually.

Seems more like a problem with UPS and the USPS then Botach Tactical.

On a side note, I just want to order a single item from Botach Tactical. One of those TLR-1 lights. Anyone else ordered one from them? Any issues with a single order item?
