View Full Version : CDNN has PROMAGs for Glock 17 & 19 anyone try them?
They are $6.99. I once bought a PROMAG for a S&W 669 from them for $8.00. It works fine but I only bought it because I was buying other things & it was cheap enough to experiment. I would not want to pay the cost & $10.00 S&H for something not worth it. I also bought Eagle brand mags for a 5906 ($5.00)from them and they are absolutely useless.

Run as fast as you can ..................go !
That means........ NO WAY get those mags !
Thanks. I have the 669 Promag and 2 Mini 14 30 round Promags that work fine but I have read bad things from others. I also wonder how long the Promags will hold up.

If you have a Glock, buy Glock magazines! Do not buy Scherer magazines. Most assuredly, do not buy METAL magazines. Do not buy ANY aftermarket magazines for a Glock. :shakehead:
Avoid them as if they carried the plague.

Are those the polymer Promags?
Never used one but the metal ones were P.O.S. as they were not dimensionally compatible with the S&W pistol I had, they budged so much while loaded they wouldn't drop free from either my Smith 669, 5906 or Ruger P95!
Metal ones will wear out the magazine catch on a Glock.
yeah buy glock factory mags ......... and if you wait every few weeks or so they have free shipping on mags
Crap. Get factory GLOCK mags.
Worse than crap. ProMAGs actually give crap a GOOD name! Run as far away as you can from ProMAG products. Only use ProMAGs if you want to turn your semi-auto into a single-shot firearm!
I don't know if they are Polymer or not but the ad on the CDNN site says "BRAND NEW- PRO MAG MFG.- LINED" so it sounds as if they are.

There's a reason they are $6.99! Ponder that for a moment...

Yep. You get what you pay for . I bought 4 a long time ago when the ban first drove up prices. I eventually threw them away. I then bought some promags for a P11. They sucked too. Threw those away. I should have donated my money to charity instead of them. Glock brand mags are so cheap compared to other guns.
never buy a pmag for any of your weapons. If you have some trashem dont be that guy and try to and unload them on a sucker that dont know any better

OK OK OK, Yes, I am a sucker.... I order a dozen Glock Mags from them last week, and decided to get one of these and see......
Holy CRAP, THEY ARE CRAP! They are First generation "U" shaped notch and NOT metal lined.... I'll try to get a pic up later... they weight about 1oz. and feel like they will break after 1 or 2 rounds in them..
SO there you go, I took one for the Team...:faint:
FINALLY, If anyone wants it, I'll painfully part with it for $7 shipped....Never Used. Could be a Collectors Item, in 200 years..

These are NOT PMAG, they are ProMag. PMAG is made by Magpul and is of high quality.

The only Pro-Mags I have tryed was for my Ruger Mini 14 both metal an thermold an A couple metal ones for my Ruger PC Carbine , they just don't work , the metal ones are not made that bad , but they just don't work , Jam's every time on the first round an last round , the follower is made at A different angle , an for my Mini 14 the thermold , every one tells me to break them in , YEA Right , I did an still don't work , so I just buy factory ones now , so don't waste your money on ProMags , and don't put them in your Glock.

Luckily, No. I was actually purchasing a bunch of G22 mags, and decided to take this one for the team, since I was getting free shipping already. The Promag wouldn't even fit in my 3rd gen. G17.
