I recently got a LNIB G17 with Trijicons pre-installed. Glcok had only been factory-tested (only shot twice), and I'm thinking the Trijicons are quite new. They are extremely hard to see even in a bathroom with no light in it... is this normal?

Do they still have the print on them? If so it has the production date on it. If not try cleaning the surface of the inserts with windex or a very weak solvent.
If none of that works - get new sights - Tritium has a half life of about 12 years. They die eventually.
Is it a Gen 3?
