What size do you like the best for competition or all around? I'm speaking about all black sights.
Stock Glock sights have a .150 cut out and I cannot remember the front sight size.
I have the Ameriglo Combat Target which are .200 and .115. They will spoil you, I cannot stand stock sights now, but I thinking I want something different.
What size do you suggest for the 34 and the 19 I have. One would think the longer the slide, the smaller size of the rear cut out you would need.
The Ameriglo plain black RS in .180 is nice on a G19 or G34.
G34?
Buy a set of Sevigny competition (.150 rear, .115 front) or spend more on a Heinie race-cut rear and a Dawson front (.150, .105) and end up with virtually the same sight picture.
Both my comp guns will shortly be wearing Sevigny competition sights (taking the dawson/heinie combo off my 34 to get rid of the fiber optic)/.

The 150/115 does not give enough extra space for me. The standard glock rear cust out is only .150. I'm thinking about the 180 from ameriglo. I have the 200 now and it is a bit too large for the 34, but ok on the 19 IMO.
Anyone use anything smaller like a .90 front? That may work well with the .150 rear for me.

I went with Heinie race-cut rears .156 notch and a Heinie .125 wide front. I may switch to a thinner front in the future but I haven't felt the need to in the informal stages I've shot.

They are way less expensive and even more so if you use the discount code "grady" or "GSSF".l

Have you even seen it? The Sevigny have a ton of light all the way around. I can't imagine wanting more. Comparing it to the stock .150 notch is not right as it's much narrower in the front.

The only bad thing about the Heinie's is that they are taller than the stock sights. They may not clear the sight tunnel in all holsters. If you want the cheapest alternative possible, I'd go with the Ameriglo plain sights made to fit the 45 or 10mm Glocks. They are $39 a set and if you use "GSSF" you get 25% off.

Sure it does. Your thinking is off, because Glock uses an exceptionally fat front sight.

Take a look at these pictures I posted some months back, and let me ask you this: How much more daylight do you want? In all these setups, the front post is approximately half the width of the rear notch when presented to the target.

One thing about Heinie's that is not widely known, is that all their rear sights for Glocks have the rear notch cut with a slight offset due to the supposed well documented tendency of Glocks to shoot to the right with a centered rear sight. My personal experience with Glocks and other striker fired pistols is that I have the tendency to pull my shots slightly to the left. I know it is me and not the guns and is attributable to my years of shooting 1911's and Sig's, but a rear sight with an offset to move impact back to the left would only make matters worse for me. Something to keep in mind. I got this info direct from Richard Heinie himself.

Interesting! I hadn't heard about this "well documented tendency" before now.
We all know that right-handed shooters who are new to the Glock trigger tend to place their shots left or low and left. Thinking back to the tweaks I've had to do with my Glock rear sights, I believe that I've had to push most of them just a hair to the left of dead center to correct a POI that was a bit to the right (I am right-handed but not a Glock novice, of course). That might tend to corroborate what you heard. :dunno: On the other hand, maybe Richard Heinie is left-handed!

Many new to Glocks move the rear sight to the right to help correct the low/left
as you referred to until they learn the trigger.
