It's interesting you should mention PayPal only. I had a choice of CC or PayPal yesterday and I ofcourse chose the Credit Card option. I hate dealing with PayPal. Anyway, this morning I got an email from PayPal saying I paid thru them and they were thanking me. What happened to my CC payment? I guess I will be charged twice now. :( I wonder if this isn't one of the reasons I hate PayPal? :steamed:

PayPal can be tricky.
Yes, I find it somewhat hypocritical that a pro-gun pro-2A sight would only allow payment through a very antigun company.

There are very few choices open to me for online payment and Pay Pal is one that is accessible to me and one that a vast majority of members here use. I will add credit card processing when I can, but until then, I have to pay the bills. If you don't want to use Pay Pal, don't. You can buy the membership through our shopping cart and choose the check/money order option: http://shop.glocktalk.com/index.php?cPath=13
I've got to say, I find your comments above pretty damned offensive. I've dedicated ten years of my life to the building, tending and growing of this site, which helps to further our RKBA. What have you done? In a perfect world, I wouldn't have to do business with companies whose policies work at a cross purpose to my beliefs, but I live and must get by in the real world. Instead of judging me for using Pay Pal, why don't you consider the irony of a company like them helping to support a site like this? Eric

I'm sorry you find my comment offensive, but now it's my turn to find yours offensive ( I know, your site, your right), I've spent the last 7 years of my life serving my community in law enforcement and my country in the military. I didn't question what you have done or your beliefs, I merely pointed out the hypocrisy of collecting funds for a pro-gun pro 2-A site through aa anti-gun, anti-2A, anti-free speach company, giving them a share of the money. As another option, consider Google Checkout, NetBilling, NetTeller, Authorize.net, there are many other companies offering the same service without the BS of PayPal. I appreciate your site, and what you have done, and thank you for allowing me to be a member here, I just pointed out something that I saw.

You pointed out something you saw, as you perceived it. Please do not confuse your opinions with facts. If you want to think me a hypocrite, more power to you. I've been called worse, by people whose opinions matter a hell of a lot more to me than yours does. I will keep my own council on what I think of someone who shares opinions like yours publicly, while enjoying the hospitality of the person the comments are targeted at. Eric
