View Full Version : Extended threaded barrel for AA 22lr conversion?
Does anyone make an extended, threaded barrel for the Advantage Arms 22lr conversion upper for the G17/22 frame?
I'd love to pay the stamp tax and put a can on mine:supergrin:
I second this request!!
Only problem is I notice a substantial increase in FTE malfunctions when not using high velocity ammo.
Still would be nice!

I've never seen an extended barrel, but I've seen adapters made that thread onto the existing barrel and apparently work pretty well.

Where have you seen those? Thanks.

Let me see if I can find the name of the company that did the adapter...

Chris at www.aquilafirearms.com
Mike at www.tornado-technologies.com
both do the conversions

Why, if only Advantage Arms themselves made extended barrels...
*Sigh*

ETA: Being based out of kommiefornia they're not allowed to thread them themselves but ought to be relatively cheap & easy (compared to the cost of the can & stamp).

So you've got a few options...
Thanks for all the replies.
I wonder if the AA upper will run with a suppressor and standard velocity ammo.
I would suck to spend the $ and have it constantly short-cycling.
The www.tornado-technologies.com site shows some really cool barrel threading for my Browning Buckmark - which may be a better canidate for a can.
Why would you want to surpress a super-sonic round? Are you just wanting to shoot without ear protection?

Think it's still super-sonic out of a 3.5" barrel?
