I'm going to buy a rail light for my glock collection. The brighter the better. How about a few suggestions? I'd like one that throws out at least 100 lumens. 120 would be superb. Anybody have experience with the Insight Technologies XTI Procyon? It's rated to 125+ Lumens and would be pretty much shock proof with the LED.
Also, I was looking at getting the Insight Technologies X2. (it's a light for the sub compacts) It's only rated at 40 lumens. Is that bright enough to be of any use?
Ultimately the premium bulb-based units are brightest. Review the SureFire line up.
Of the LED-based lights, the XTI Procyon leads the pack at an excellent price! I'd love to read a review!
I'd consider 60 lumens to be at the bottom end of really useful...

I dont know how many lumens it puts out but check out the Streamlight TLR-1/TLR2. I have a TLR-2 and it is extremely bright.
SureFire X200A: 3-watts, 80 lumens, spot beam
Streamlight TLR-1: 3-watts, 80 lumens, spot/flood beam
SureFire X200B: 5-watts, 110 lumens, full flood beam
Insight XTI Procyon: 5-watts, 150 lumens, spot/flood beam **
SureFire X300: 5-watts, 110 lumens, spot/flood beam

** Insight webisite shows 125 lumens.

I'll admit, I'm using this threat to show off the new X300. UPS delivered it today and it is awesome! This thing is bright and it really makes me appreciate LED compared to my 9P surefire incandescent that put out about the same lumens.
