Guys I just wanted to let you know about the Veterans Service Commissions and what they do to help vets. I am a Iraqi War vet myself and work at the VSC in Ohio.

The VSC is there to help you file for your VA disability benefits so that it can be done right the 1st time and not sent back to you. The VSC also will help out financially if you are in need of it. There is no pay back every state should have one. I know the county I live in and work for, or VSC has so many things that we are able to do to help a house hold. Don't let it get to bad before you come in or ask questions. We have done or time and the VSC is there for only veterans so use it if you need it.

If you would like some more help please let me know in a IM or ask questions on here. I will keep you information private and do the best I can for you. The only reason I am bringing this up is because times are tight gas is high food is high.

Maybe in your county, Summit was a political mine field. Bastages!

I'm going through the process. My paperwork is a mess. My DD214, that shows me activated from the reserves to active, says "uncharacterized". And I have orders for deactivation that say I was medically discharged. I'm in the VA system already. Getting treatment for PTSD. I sought help while in the service. Yet no one told me I was med'ed out. My unit was dissolved for being real crap.

My wifes a disabled vet and knows the system pretty well. But more help is even better.
