Does anyone make large objective diameter (50mm or >) conventional optics (scope or binos) but low magnification (1-3x) for maximum image brightness? I know a Leupold 20mm 1x scope gathers more light and gives a brighter image than the naked eye so just think what a 50mm would do! I think it would be great if a quality optics company made a low magnigication optical device specifically for low light/night vision use, but anything with a large objective typically has the higher magnification to go with it. I think something made along these lines with quality optics would be much better than a gen 1 NV device and possibly better than some gen 2s, especially in clarity and detail. Anything out there, and if not, why not?
