I'm going to put a Night Vision Monocular on my AR with either an Aimpoint or an Eotech. I might get an Aimpoint 3X magnifier as well... not sure yet.

I'm looking at the GG&G scout extended rail. It mounts on top of the standard rail on the AR15 upper and extends foreward, OVER the standard handguards. It can be taken off with the two throw levers, so it looks real easy to take it off for both cleaning and swapping out to a different optic occassionally.

I know NOTHING about extended rails, except that I've seen these on the GG&G internet website. So my question is whether this would be a good idea to put the NV, a 3X magnifier possibly, and a red dot sight all together on a rail? Or do most folks just stick it all on the Upper's rail.

I do not have a free floated rail style forearm like I see so often in photos.

Thanks for the advice in advance,

Jerry.

Get the free floated forearm.

You wont' have enough rail space otherwise, especially with 3(!) scopes on the same gun.
