View Full Version : WOod grips?
Are the Pao Ferro grips on the Kahr site pretty popular for the K9/40? Wear well, or chip, or stain easy or anything? Surprised they were not too expensive and look pretty good in pictures anyways. Like a T9"c" assuming they are identical in construction. The MK grips are a little darker than those for the K, but they both look good. B.T.W longshot but anyone know of any BLACK stained wood grips that will fit a K40? Probably would have to go custom.

There is no one except for Hougue that makes those wood grips. They are very difficult to make because they require a lot of CNC machining to fit as the right and the left sides of Kahr frame are not the same.
I found an outside US source and had a pair made for my MK9. It fits great and now I am negotiating the finish, type of wood and prices. These are Mk grips not K frame so that will not help you.
If you want to have dark grips - buy the wood grips and stain them dark - that simple.

The wood P.F.'s listed on Kahr's site don't have kahr's "k" on the grip. Anyways that M.K. looks great isecobra, thanks for posting a pic. B.T.W. is the elite package "worth it", I.Y.O.?
Also, does either the stock rubber or the wood P.F.'s offer more GIRTH than the other, or are they pretty much the same in that regard?

thanks for the comments, the wood grips on my mk feel to be the same as the oe plastic pieces. the checkering on the sides and rear of these wood grips add a little better feel also, they cost $50.00.
the elite package is nice, trigger is good, i like the polished finish. the beveled mag well is an added feature. all in all i would cose the elite again.
