Apparently, the answer is 'No.'

I'd love to have a VM II, but I just can't stomach having to wait six months to get one. I currently carry my Kahrs and my Glock in a C.T.A.C. and I've been really happy with it. The C.T.A.C. isn't as classy as the VM II, and I'm guessing that the VM II is probably more comfortable, (leather vs. kydex,) but I like being able to order a holster on Monday and have it arrive by the weekend.

As soon as I saw the subject line, I thought, "no, why, are they any good?"

I find I'm still wondering.

See, I knew someone would come through for us! Thanks for linking such a great kahr holster thread! The V.M. 2 looks comfortable and quite nice with a steel kahr.

Yeah I agree comptac overall is probably the best bet when you consider price and wait time, etc. Maybe the M.T.A.C. would maximize kydex's comfort (since it has the leather backing). But I just got my U.C. Pro from them this week (all kydex), and I just wonder if the M.T.A.C. is as secure with leather on one side (I doubt reholstering has that "snap" into place since only one side kydex vs both).

Anyways thanks again ilight.

For what its worth, I bought the Don Hume clip holster when I got my MK9 in the beginning of April. Initially I was impressed with the holster but now it seems that it has lost its retention qualities. The gun will still fit inside but it seems that the holster has expanded and there is no longer a tight fit. If I holster the gun then turn it upside down, the gun will fall right out.

I have heard very good things about Don Humes and that was why I purchased it in the first place. I am pretty new to handguns and concealed carry so I'm not sure if this is typical wear for a holster. I would say though that I bought a Mitch Rosen for my Colt Commander almost six months ago and it is still a very tight fit.

I would recommend the Mitch Rosen over the Don Hume to anyone considering this type of "Clip-On" holster.

Good to hear, thanks for the updates. Ilight- please tell us how well/how long your V.M. II has maintained a snug fit on your M.K.? Maybe M.R. uses stout enough leather so it doesn't get stretched out and doesn;'t fit as snugly as others.

That is one advantage of kydex, I just wonder if the hybrids (half kydex shell, half leather back) is "best of both worlds" or WORST lol.

I do. I have a VM2 for my G19 and G26 as well. it is the best IWB holster made IMHO

I might have my K9/P9 VM2 up for sale, see my other Kahr post.

As for the retention qualities of the VM2....... I have to admit, I use a Don Hume clip on a daily basis, as I am always having to disarm and rearm (work and such). It's just a little easier to get off and on quickly. That said, I have used the VM2 quite a bit and it seems to be keeping tight. I would only recommend not being too quick to overstretch the thing when new (it will loosen up on it's own...) There is a metal insert in the holster that keeps the top open when the firearm is withdrawn, and in a sense, you can squeeze that a little to increase the tension. I do find though that a lot of the retention, on any open holster, comes along with a properly tightened belt. Just my opinion...
