Need Help With G17 Setup! I have a new G17 I will be using for IDPA competition. I need a reasonably priced set of sights for it. I was thinking about a FO front possibly? Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance!

Warren Tactical Sevigny Competition sights hands down. I get mine here. (http://mle-shootingsports.com/Sights-WTS---Sights/c7_28/index.html?osCsid=7f560f28c5c8de98e8bbc83b87bb857d)

+1 on both the sights and the supplier listed in the link.

Heinie Race cut on mine. You can order them with FO front from Custom Glock Racing.
Heinie rear sights are serrated, which can cut down on glare in some situations. Looking at the Heinie shop online, it looks like pretty much all the rear sights have the same wide notch now.
Heinies are real popular on Glocks, that is what I use. Tried the fiber optic front for a short time, but found it acted more like a 'beeper' at the end of the day. Didn't help that much in IDPA or USPSA, but helped a bit for longer shots in Steel Challenge. Broke the fiber optic in the first 3 gun match after putting them on, and went back to the standard Heinies... Sevingney makes a kinda of 'pyramid' version that lets you see more in transitions, depends on how fast your eyes are.

I use this combination for USPSA but for IDPA I use Truglo fiber optics. The front sight is a little large for long range stuff but for closer stuff like IDPA they are super fast to acquire a sight picture.
I recently switched to all-steel sights on everything. I went to sevigny competition sights on both my 34, and my carry-gun which is a 19.
Both guns with sevigny comp sights:

The first pic in this thread shows the Dawson/Heinie combination I was previously using:

Here's a roundup of the big 3 IDPA sights for Glocks. Took these pics a while back. Dawson/Heine ... Warren ... and Sevigny.

For outdoor competition, I use a Dawson adjustable rear sight with his .100x.280 front fiber optic. I really like an adjustable sight on a competition gun when possible. For indoor / low light (like the Winter Nationals), I use the Warren Tactical night sights, single yellow dot in the rear, green front.
