Been shooting IDPA for 6 months or so. The gun i use in SSP is a stock Glock 22 with Tru glo sites.Ammo is FMJ with pf of 150.

Shot it this weekend and a strange thing occurred.

They had a set up with 2 steel plates next to each other at about 15 yards.must be shot behind a barrel for cover.

I shot it from the right side and nailed the right plate with the first round. Then I went ot the second plate on the left side. Good site picture. Bang/miss. Bang miss. Shot 10 rounds at it and missed 10 times. after I finally got it the SO said I was shooting to the left of the plate.

So what did I do wrong?

Are you right handed? It's common to shoot left when leaning around the left side of a barricade. For me anyway. In any awkward shooting position just slow down and make sure you are not jerking the trigger. Make sure your shooting position is stable and don't use the baricade or barrel for support. Some will argue that but I find it throws off my shots.

I'm right handed and was shooting around the barrel from the right side.

Were you leaning the gun or your hand on the barrel? That will bounce them into orbit.

Many times while shooting around any type of cover/barricade, people have a tendency to "tilt" the gun just a touch.

Get the gun as vertical as you can, and see what happens.
