I've been looking at the NZ 85B for IDPA competition, and I chanced upon an Australian dealer that sells CZ 85 B pistols. What I noticed is the slide rails on this one extends beyond the dust cover:

Is there a difference between the NZ 85B that Marstar and Weapons Systems sell?

Maybe Deenoh can also give inputs on this one.

Thanks!

Maraming Salamat, Darwin.

BTW, Was your pistol a later version (same as CZ75B)?

I have a couple more questions, if you don't mind me asking: have you also tried the CZ 75? How is the DA trigger pull on the NZ? Does it smooth out over time? How's the safety lever? I've tried a NIB NZ 85 years back home, and it was quite stiff (matigas) to activate. Does the barrel have six grooves which the CZ-75 has? Posts on CZ 75 forums say that the Sellier and Bellot 124 gr 9mm works very well on the CZ barrel in terms of accuracy.

Looked at the Tanfoglio website, and the NZ85 that is being sold in Australia has the same slide profile of the Tanfoglio.

Could it be a new generation of the NZ 85 that they have released?
