You first need to find a dealer in your area and pick out the one you want. They range from $250.00 to about $700.00. Keep in mind more expensive doesn't mean better. .22's are dirty so I'd get one that can be disassembled for cleaning. The dealer will then fill out paperwork which you will take to the sheriff in the county you live in and he "should" sign off on it. You then get your fingerprints taken, passport photos, and a check or money order for $200 and mail all of the paperwork off to the Bureau of Gas Em and Burn Em. The $200 is for the tax stamp for the suppressor and it's a one time fee per NFA weapon. If you can't get the signature then your screwed unless you set up a trust or incorporate yourself. If you do one of those options you don't need the signature or prints. In about two months your dealer will call you and tell you to come pick up the can. Your returned signed ATF form goes wherever the can goes and I suggest putting the original in a fire proof safe and make some double sided copies to keep with the can. Anything more specific just PM because I've done about a dozen or so NFA purchases.
