My latest build is having an identity crisis. I had planned on building a 16" midlength upper with standard A2 front sight and handguards and a removable carry handle. Now that I have the money scraped up to continue, I'm questioning that plan. I already have a stripped upper reciever and a complete BCG.
The original intent was a basic rifle that was simple and lightweight. Now I'm trying to decide whether to stick with this concept or go one of a couple different ways. The first option would be to stick with 5.56 but go tactical instead of simple. The second option would be to go with a different round. If I do this I'm not sure which I would go with. The downside to this is I that I would need to buy a different bolt to go in my BCG.
So any suggestions? Thanks.
