Excellent! They sure made you wait long enough. Can't wait to hear your impressions. I'm kind of interested in the 396 myself. Don't know why but I've just gotten in stuck in mind lately that I have to have a 44sp for some reason. :dunno:
Ultimately I'd like to get my hands on a 296 as well.

You'll love the 296. I lucked up on one with laser-grips a couple years ago and it's great

:crying: I got the new Night Guard 325 and HATED THE SIGHTS! :yuck:

Sold it to my buddy.

NOW I AM LOOKING FOR THE 325 PD With fiber optic front sight. I have seen these in Stainless Steel ( it maybe a different model), I want either if anyone has one for sale. I have cash or lots of Glocks and other S&W revolvers.

This is proof of different strokes for different folks. I LOVE the sights and am trying to get a pair for my m29 as well

Looked at the 329 NG today. I was very disappointed in the fit and finish on this particular example...

The hammer had the typical strike to the right side of the frame -- but was excessive, removing a significant amount of metal.

The black finish was coming off of the cylinder in a few high spots, and the S&W labeled rubber grips fit poorly at the bottom, with the top at the back of the frame appearing that they had been hap-hazardly trimmed with an X-acto knife.

I'm still considering one of these models -- but I will definitely want to see the specific pistol in person, rather than trust an internet purchase.

Hopefully, the example I saw today was the exception and not the rule for this line of revolvers... S&W could definitely do better than the one I viewed today.

It's a marketing ploy...just S&W trying to get you to re-buy models you've already bought.

All they are, are just variants of the PDs
