Does anyone have a Hogue Overmolded Stock?

If so, would you be so kind as to measure the LOP for me. Also, how do you like it? Does it make recoil more comfortable?

FWIW
I believe the standard stock LOP is 14"

I have the short stock (LOP 12") I like the feel. Idon't think the stock affects the felt recoil, but the rubber overmold make handling easier that the synthetic stocks.

I bought the shorter stock and forend for my 500 Mils-Gun.

I added a Kick-Eze slip on recoil pad over the pad Hogus has installed.
The length of pull is just about 13.25" and perfect for me.

I have the same set up and it works for me. The handling is the biggest advantage. Recoil is perhaps a little stronger, I think because the Hogue is a little lighter than the wood stock I had before. May be my imagination though.

The recoil is a little more severe with the standard Hogue recoil pad, that is why I installed the slip on Kick-Eze pad.
You can get a Kick-Eze grind to fit pad but I don't want to waste that much time on this particular shotgun.
They don't make a specific, ready to install pad that will work with the Hogue stock sets as of yet.

Don't have the stock, but use the Hogue forend with a SpecOps reduced recoil stock. I really like the forend for its gripability - I can cycle it more rapidly and with a surer grip than the original Rem forend.

Onmilo,
That's a nice looking Mossberg..
If you don't mind, what kind of magazine extension is that??
Is it strong, do you like it?
Thanks,
Steve

Vang Comp.
Yes.
Yes.
It is a one shot extension.
They also make two and four shot extensions depending on the barrel length of the gun.

Nice!!
Does that reversible sling attachment rattle around or otherwise scratch up the barrel?
Thank you much.
Steve

It isn't reversible, it is welded to the main cap.
It will scratch the barrel, if this is a concern, a bit of friction tape on the clearance slot will protect the barrel during installation.

This doesn't really concern me as this is a working gun, it gets scratched up anyway.

Thanks again, Onmilo.
It sounds like I need to try one of those out. It looks solid.
Cheers,
Steve
