Holsters need to be somewhat comfortable for extended periods of sitting and driving.

Any information is greatly appreciated

Holsters are generally not very comfortable when worn for long periods in a car. If you will be carrying in that way, I would recommend a cross-draw holster for that use. If you are right handed, a presentation to the driver window is very fast. I had a Blade Tech paddle that I drilled additional holes for and used that cross draw when extended car carry was on the menu. When I got out of the car, I switched the G17 to a strong side holster of choice, usually an IWB for me.

Don't overlook a shoulder holster for long car rides.

The fobus roto-paddle is my 2nd choice, with felt glued to the inner surface of the plastic paddle

If your looking for a IWB holster in particular take a look at Milt Sparks,I have a Versa-max 2 and it is the most comfortable IWB I've ever tried. Also take a look at Comp Tac ,they have many IWB and OWB to choose from..
