OK folks...since the MSRP for a Kahr PM9 DLC with night sights is just under $1000 (no joke: http://www.kahr.com/PA-1_9mm_pm.html ):wow: then we reserve the right to flaunt our stuff and post pictures of our beloved, albeit, overpriced beauties..SO LET's SEE WHAT YOU GO with all cool stuff that goes with them.... knives, holsters, mag holders but PLEASE, no car keys! :tongueout:

What do you think of that A-Grip (I think that is what that is)? Does it add too much bulk to the grip? How does it impact concealibility?

Do you get hit in the face with brass? I am reading that this is a common issue with the PM45.

My PM45 will occasionally bounce one off my noggin:crying: but nothing serious. I usually wear a baseball cap when I shoot to deflect the wayward shell casings.

I'm not trying to anwer for The Fool but the Agrip has virtually no impact on grip size or concealability and is actually much thinner than the hogue slip on grip. However, it does improve shootability by improving grip feel and retention. I also added a hogue handall jr, installed it upside down and trimmed it so that the finger groove sits beneath the ring finger. I superglued it in place and put an Agrip on top of it. The only advantage of the Agrip in my case is that it helps keep the hogue in place and prevents the tacky hogue from hanging on clothes.

What kind of nightsights are those? I really like the ones that come to the rear of the slide and the factory NS don't seem to be that way. Nice piece BTW. I've had a P9 and PM9 for years. I'm anxiously awaiting my K40 Elite.

The sights I had put on mine are the Novak Style, which have Trijicon tubes in them. When I contact Kahr to order my night sights for my K9, I actually wanted the regular Trijicon night sights but Kahr was out at the time.... So "they" cut me a really sweet deal on the Novak style, and to be honest I really like them! I find them just as easy to see and line up as the Meprolights on my PM9..... and the best part is, the rear sight on the New Novak style rears are held in place with a set screw.... so you can easily adjust the rear when sighting in the new sights.

Thanks for the compliments!!! I really think the Steel Kahrs are beautiful pieces..... not that I don't like my P9 and PM9 just as much, but I absolutely LOVE my K9 Elite.

Excellent choice on the K40 Elite, you're going to love the way it feels and shoots...do post some pics once you get it.

Hey lance22, how is that Kydex? I have heard Kydex is murder poking in at you, but that Bear Claw holster looks like there are no sharp corners and is lower than the gun.

lance22
05-27-2008, 08:41
Yeah, I like the BearClaw. Everything is rounded out, smoothed out, and polished. There is no protruding, ill-fitted hardware but it's one tension screw is inset not outset. Every bit of excess / unneeded kydex is removed. And, smaller is more comfortable because it means less sqeezing and less pinching.

tjschul
05-27-2008, 11:02
Kydex poking at you is easy to cure... carefully use a heat gun and change the radius of any offending edges/corners away from you.
Polish the small stuff on a polishing wheel. Use moleskin where needed.
I've made my only Kydex more comfortable than some of my "wait a year"
custom leather rigs.

That is one of those supersized Kahr Pistols! I have never even held a K9, I hear they are ultra consistent and reliable and shoot laser straight.

You may be thinking of the T9's, 4" barrel & 6.5" overall length. This one's a Kahr K9 Elite 2003 NS, 3.5" barrel and 6" overall. Though your description is consistent with my experience. Maybe the angle of the picture is deceptive.

Never had a glitch of any kind. Hard to take apart at first, but that's getting better with use. Best out of box accuracy of any gun I've ever seen. Works great with either hand. I still love my S&W J frame revolver, but this one weighs about the same, and has displaced the J frame at my side as a usual thing. I'm a big fan of revolver reliability, but I'm thinking about giving mine to my wife.

Since user mentioned the T9, here's one for your viewing pleasure. I really enjoy shooting this pistol. Very nice recoil, full grip, smooth trigger and good sights make it a terrific range gun. The second picture shows a T9 in comparison to a Sig P232, note how close in size they are.

I have yet to find a comfortable solution for extra mag carry. Back pocket is a good idea but I have little ones around that like to stick their hands in my pockets and if they ever pulled out a spare mag, that would go over like a fart in church with my wife. Smart Carry holster. Excellent comfort/concealment/presentation, most flexible for different seasons. Same for spare mag in compartment right next to the gun. No one will know you're packing but you. It's even cheap.
