Sorry if it's a stupid question but is swapping out the guide rod for a steel guide rod only meant for a MK9? If I can on a PM9, any downsides outside of a slight bit more weight?

Scratch that. I was incorrect about their differences. It may work.

My PM9 came with a steel guide rod.
