Thats my new project for 2008. Between the two, which one would u choose and why? Pls help me decide on this one (in terms of reliability, accuracy, durability, etc).

Primary purpose: as my carry firearm.

Thanx guys.

SIG P220 king of double action!

I would choose the HK which is better than any other firearm.

Because you suck.

And HK hates you.

I will vote for H&K :whistling: the BEST!

Both are too bulky for carry/conceal.

220, Sig triggers are IMO better than HKs.

H&K. Preferably the full-size H&K USP 45. Both are large, bulky and expensive. But the USP has a higher magazine capacity. And manual safeties too- if you've been weaned on the 1911, you will like 'em.

My vote is for the HK. I own a USP.40.

I know it's overused but: "Shoot both and see what fits better."

Personally, I'd go with the HK just because HK has a local distributor so parts and mags are easier to get. (Not that you'd be needing any spare parts anytime soon.)

Better yet, get both and sell me the one you don't like.

SIG P220 king of double action!

maybe the HK45 can be configured to become the king of single action? equal to or at par with the 1911?

I'll take the HK.

- Polymer framed i just don't like alloys
- Local support
- Handles and shoots well for me
- Excellent finish compared to the Sig

The V1 (Version 1) is the set up allowing the HK to be carried cocked & locked like a 1911.

Right!

I have have tried both from units owned by friends and the H&K just feels better to shoot. But that's just me.

Now all I need is money to be in the same enviable situation as jecht_sphere.

wow! thanx for the replies guys. it seems HK45 talaga yata.

This is OT, but the other reason why i want to buy another gun is because my G22C keeps on jamming on me. It's really disappointing. I didnt expect it that way. I tried magtech JHP 180 grain, factory load armscor FMJ, corbon dpx and they all jammed (in about 6 out of 15 rnds). Baka yun akin G22C lang talaga may diprensya. Its been like that since i bought it brand new in Trust Trade sometime in 2003. But because of the jamming issue, i seldom use/fire it.

I hope the HK45 will not give me the same headache. Anyway, any suggestion which HK dealer in the Phils ang maganda mag offer? And how much (u think it is)?

Wait for the ribbon cutting of HKTactical at Makati Cinema Square. Thery are just finishing up construction of the store. It is right in front of SOE near the Jethro firing range. Price will be in the 75-80k range I think.

limp wristing?

That's what they said. But i have it fired by a friend and another range officer and it jammed also.

Likewise, (without firing the gun) i tried to cocked it fast and slow to empty the 15rnds mag but after probably 3-4 cocks, it jammed also.

So i thought it's about time to burry my G22c and buy a new one.

I haven't tried the HK45, but i have tried both the USP 45 and the Sig...I'd go for the Sig...I just think it's the better one, and it seems you have a less complicated manual of arms when you go with the Sig..of course, if you want the manual safety option, then go for the HK45....btw, will they be available for sale here? I read somewhere that they would only be made available in the U.S. Could someone please clarify this?

I'm not 100% on this but here's my 2 cents. HK USA says their HK45 will be available only in the US but the local HK distributor gets stocks from HK in Germany. They are 2 different entities as far as I know.

I will post here when the shop is open. I'm applying for a part time job there as caretaker of all their demo units.

I am currently considering a Kahr K9 or smaller MK 9 for everyday carry, and I am 6" and 230 pounds.

It could be a mag issue. Did you ever try to resolve your problems with glock. I assume the gun is stock.

Might be a faulty extractor too. Are you planning on selling the G22?

Yeah, sometimes i think about selling it (baka pwede na ciguro sa 20T yun). But most of the time I think of having it framed and hang it on the wall also, memento bah!

yes it's stock to the bone and i never brought it to glock or trust trade to solve the problem. Nawalan na ako ng gana eh from the moment that it jammed on me on its first firing session. Lifetime ba warranty nun?

Preferred sidearm of Air Marshal is the Sig P226. I have seen a Pinoy Air Marshal in an IPSC tournament whose hits were mostly headshots. Impressive.

Sana nga bro, but i dont go there. I notice also that if i rest the mag on my left palm (thereby pushing the mag up) when firing the gun, it doesnt jam. Parang gsto ko din subukan ang "rounded slug" ammo, kaso wala ako makita.

What u think is the problem kaya bro?

im guessing mag spring or follower. what is the no. of your follower?

Follower? Is it the platform on top of the mag spring where the bullet sits? If it is, there is a No. 5 that is engraved sa dulo bro. Both mags have No. 5s and both nagjajammed also.

Any suggestion?

Looks more like a mag problem than anything else. Have the mags checked first before totally ditching the gun. Just like what Atmarcella said, change the mag springs first, and test-fire it with factory ammo.

If the gun is still problematic, you may want to write Glock in Hong Kong and discuss the possible remedies they could provide to your pistol. Their customer service is really good. When my former Glock 17 went full-auto, I wrote them, and they enumerated the parts to be sent to them. They sent me new parts after a month.
