View Full Version : "Texas,Guns, and History" Col.Askins anyone got some good old gun books?
Found this at half price books the other day. Fiigurd itd be a good read and all that. You never find some of these older books layn around. Got it for $10. They also had a book on m1's and another on sprinfield. Both of em would have rang up at about $80. I'm plannin on goin back next weekend and grabn both of those up. Something about older books and espcially older gun books that makes me all goose bumpy.
Anybody else?? Or what good ones do you got?
Ed McGivern's Fast and Fancy Revolver Shooting is in a reprint now. Got a B&N gift card last year and picked up a copy. It is well worth it! Really makes me appreciate watching Jerry Miculek.
Doesn't even show all the reloading manuals.
JasonD- Thats a nice collection you got there. Don't suppose you wanna part with the "sixguns" by Keith do you?
And both of yall got Mcgiverns "Fast and Fancy" huh guess I gotta find it also.
Can't sell them, got to have kids, them make them read them.
ramon- WOW! Great collection. The Book of the Garand, may have been the another that was up there. I'll prolly go grab it this weekend.
BTW I got a copy of Ed McGiverns- fast and fancy revolver shooting sunday at half price books by the Firwheel mall in Garland for $9. Brand new but its one of the new prints they started coming out lately.
The one I saw was the book of the garand. It had the dust cover and everything. I hope its still there I'll grab it saturday morning if it is.
