G17. I put a pin at the front end of the mount to use as a front sight to find the dot, but I don't need it anymore. Someday, I'll get around to hacking the plate shorter, and paint it black to match.
I have not put a lot of rounds through it yet, but I don't think it's gonna choke on the brass anymore.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/suburban15/Firearm%20Pics/G17-2.jpg
Also G17. Carry it pretty much all winter and parts of spring and fall. Pop a reduced power firing pin spring, and maybe a 13 lb. recoil spring in and shoot IDPA and club matches with it. Have done pretty well with it, even with a 4+ pound trigger pull.
I've got a G19 that will likely get the same treatment as the 2nd G17. Have not put enough rounds through it yet, and I'm waiting on the new Heinie sights.
As soon as Lone Wolf gets the 5.5" G20 slides in (:whistling:) I'll start working on a Limited/ESP pistol. Just have to decide on what adjustable sights to use.

I see a few guys have got those slide rackers that fit in where your backplate sits - what do you think of them?
Suburban

The Mako slide racker was necessary when I had the ProPoint mounted, but now I don't really need it. I will take it off and put the standard Glock plate back on before I shoot it next time.
On mine, the handle shoots loose, and before long ends up at my feet.

Can you loctite it in place?

Would work, but the handle part has to be removed to clean the pistol.
I tried adding a set-screw to hold it in, and that shot loose too. Just a pain.

Hang on, are talking that the whole piece falls out, or just the handle piece.
If it's the handle why does that have to be removed for cleaning, does the whole unit slip out of the slide like the standard backplate?

The handle falls out on mine, YMMV. There is a detent in the backplate, but it doesn't hold the handle in well enough. With my frame mounted scope mount, I can't remove the slide off the front of the frame if the handle is glued in. I could remove the whole unit from the back of the slide, but as I've said, I just don't need it anymore. With iron sights or a slide-ride optic, you could glue the handle in and still remove the slide for cleaning without removing anything.
The slide racker is held in just like the standard Glock backplate.

Ding, the light goes on. I'm with you now. Hmmm, thats an interesting point.
So what do the guys with fixed slide rackers do, like the ones that fit into the rear sight slot?

You'd better watch that plug if you're shooting production. It might put you in open with minor pf and iron sights.

It really isn't all that beat up. Those scratches are from about 15 or 20 draws out of a silly Kytac holster (I had wiped down the inside too). It does need to be cleaned though.

Hey, don't be ashamed of it dude. It's a shooter.
I'd rather see something with rounds down range than a safe queen.
All of those guns are way to pretty to have been in competition use, except for GlockMeisters, that's good and ground up. I was going to post up my G17, the one with about 150,00 rounds, but it's just to ugly compared to all those nice ones.

That's what I've done with mine. I can't see where it really helps that much anyway. Kinda ironic that I have to take parts off my IDPA ssp to play the gamers' game.

I have just started to get into competition shooting. I have gone to one GSSF match and 2 local steel matches with this G17. It has Sevigny Competition sights, Trugrip tape, LWD guiderod with 13 # ISMI spring, and a Glockworx trigger. The tape, guide rod, recoil spring and trigger were added recently and I haven't shot with them yet. Nothing real special here:

I just finished putting together an Open top end for my G35 (which I have been shooting in Limited). So, same GlockWORX trigger, Dawson Ice magwell, etc, but top end is mainly Lone Wolf including the slide, barrel and comp. Red dot is a Burris FastFire mounted directly to the slide and then there's my homegrown crappy charging handle :whistling:
I've only had it out to sight in at the range. Think I'll shoot it in competition this coming Saturday and see how it does.

Did you paint the CCF lower green???
no, it's not green.... yet:upeyes: green skateboard tape will come soon.
i've had this frame for a couple of months. first thing i noticed was the trigger got better. i've got a lonewolf 9mm barrell for my 24 slide, and it worked OK on my glock frame. on the CCF it was crap, so put the kkm .40 back in and so far(400 rounds)it's been 100%. groups were cut in 1/2. slide lock up and barrel are wicked tight. i didn't think it would work at all.
still don't know how to use the computer

Here's my latest USPSA Open Glock configuration:
- Glock 17C base gun
- KKM G34 Drop-In Barrel (throated for 1.15" OAL rounds, cut and threaded)
- SJC Aluminum 9mm Major Comp
- Tungsten guiderod with ISMI 13lb spring
- 8 MOA JPoint
- Dawson Precision BlackIce (super heavy) Magwell
- Glockworx reduced and sandblasted grip job
- Glockworx Fulcum Trigger and Lightened Striker
Yeah, I heard about that. Now I can use my IDPA gamer gun in USPSA :whistling:.
Yeah, I was very happy with that ruling. Now I'd like to see the allowance of steel guide rods in SSP. They are allowed on the M&P, since they already come with steel.

I've posted in this thread previously, but my 17 shot it's last match yesterday. Picked up a new G34 Friday and got a chance to do some modifications last night. Swapped some parts over from the 17 to the 34 (sights, springs) and shot a match with it today. Worked great! Yeah, I know there's not a huge difference between the 17 and the 34, but my dealer got a green one in and I just had to have it.
